Rhinoplasty is the most common type of plastic surgery performed in the United States. Dr. Gregory Branham and Dr. John Chi are experts in rhinoplasty surgery. Surgical techniques are customized for each patient, allows each physician to provide a natural looking nose that meets patients' expectations, while preserving nasal functionality.
Rhinoplasty surgery can be used to change the shape of the nose by decreasing or increasing the size, restore breathing functionality, remove nasal obstructions, change the bridge or tip of the nose. This type of surgery can correct injuries to the nose caused by sports or other types of trauma.
If a patient wants to change the appearance of their nose for a more pleasing aesthetic or to fit more proportionally with his or her other facial features, it is considered cosmetic rhinoplasty. This type of surgery can be performed once the nasal cartilage has reached its full growth, usually around 16 years of age. Cosmetic rhinoplasty is considered elective surgery - in other words, there is not a medical diagnosis for the surgery.
Generally, rhinoplasty is usually performed on an out-patient basis, meaning patients go home the same day after surgery.
- Rhinoplasty - A slight to the nose can greatly improve one's appearance offering greater confidence and self-esteem.
- Revision Rhinoplasty - Dr. Branham has established a reputation for correcting or “revising” surgeries in which other doctors’ procedures have not met clients' expectations or have compromised nasal functionality.
