Rhinoplasty / Nose Surgery

Rhinoplasty, or surgery to reshape the nose, is one of the most common of all plastic surgery procedures. The shape and size of the nose are inherited from our family and develop as we grow to maturity.

These natural characteristics can be changed by rhinoplasty, a surgery which involves removing, reshaping and/or reconstructing cartilage and bone in the nose.

Because the nose is the most defining characteristic of the face, a slight alteration can greatly improve one's appearance offering greater confidence and self-esteem.

Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip. It may also correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve some breathing problems.

If you have nasal obstruction, rhinoplasty along with septoplasty may be needed to give you maximal benefit. If you are considering surgery to improve your breathing, such as septoplasty, and have considered changing your nasal appearance, you owe it to yourself to investigate the possibilities with a consultation.

Before deciding on rhinoplasty, inquire if any additional surgery might be recommended to enhance the appearance of your face. Many patients have chin implants or other facial augmentations combined with rhinoplasty to create a better balance of features.
